Supervision and Technical Support Urban Water Supply and Sanitation in 23 Pourashavas

Project Name: Consultancy Service for Supervision and Technical Support Urban Water Supply and Sanitation in 23 Pourashavas Project under DPHE in Bangladesh (GOB-IDB).

Description of Actual Services provided by our staff:

Feasibility Study, design, drawing, preparation of BOQ, Tender documents, financial modality and full time supervision.

1) Water Supply Services (GWTP-11 nos., SWTP-03 nos., PTW-37 nos., Pump house-55 nos., TTW-76 nos., Pipeline-607km, water meter-66056 nos., Water point-1845 nos., Overhead Tank-13 nos.)

2) Feasibility study on water supply system and sanitation management, faecal sludge treatment plant, solid waste management system, drainage facilities, pipe line network and others components Sanitation Facilities (Public Toilet-144, Community Latrine-457 nos.)

3) Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant -23 nos.

4) Design, drawing, preparation of BOQ & tender document Solid Waste Management Facilities and solid waste shorting shed 23 nos. & supervision of 15 nos. of 15 pourashavas

5) Drainage system for 23 Pourashava-92.17 km

6) Rehabilitation of Existing Facilities;

7) Capacity Building & Awareness;

8) Implementation Support (Full Time supervision).

Overall objective: ·

• The overall objective of the project is to improve the health and living standard of the people of 23 Pourashavas by increasing access to safe water supply and Sanitation System. ·
• Garbage collection for houses, markets, public places etc. & Garbage transportation by vehicles. Detail shorting home landfill design. ·
• Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant & Solid Waste Management Facilities system ·
• Specific Objectives:
• To introduce piped water supply system in the project Pourashavas.
• To develop sanitation system in these Pourashavas.
• To improve the capacity of Pourashavas on O&M of water supply and sanitation.
